Hello world! My first Blog post.

So in a fine old tradition Hello world!

I’m planning to blog about my changing world, lino cutting and printing and how it all affects me. I’ve never blogged before so this is taking a little getting my head around. Bear with me.

I’d intended to talk about lino cutting and prints and what I learn as I become more experienced, and I will do that, but also as I think about it I will talk about how I ened up doing lino prints and the future. There will probably be some unashamed plugging of my etsy store and of my instagram and pintrest pages along the way but that is really incidental.

I don’t know where to start so I guess somewhere in the middle where it’s easier to talk about. I work part-time due to illness. I’ve been sketching for years but for my birthday my wife bought me a lino cutting kit as she thought I would enjoy it. I made a few prints and then got distracted by life and new diagnoses and never quite went back. Roll on 8 months and friend of mine is going on a printing course with a local charity The Common Lot and asked me if I wanted to go. One of the topics was lino cut and I remembered how much I enjoyed it. This is the first print I made in the course:
