A subject close to my heart. How to reduce the symptoms of Parkinson’s and slow progression. Currently the only thing proven to slow progression is exercise. The medications help you do the exercise but don’t slow it down. Here’s a short video from a collection of NHS professionals with Parkinson’s about this:

When a group of NHS Professionals living with Parkinson’s were asked how they kept active this short film explains how. It is aimed at the those recently diagnosed in the past few years. With clips from people diagnosed from 1 to 15 years they try to explain how they stay motivated and try to overcome the barriers to keep going. It is also aimed at healthcare professionals who work with people with Parkinson’s to encourage them as it shows the difference physical activity is making even to those who have had Parkinson’s a while but are keep on exercising Music: bensound.com License code: CCSE7YOQFLF0YQSM

So get out there and do whatever you are able. Even if the activity is only minimally active like lino cutting.
